I know, we were in exactly the same boat a good few years ago, we took ages before deciding, and there was a smaller choice then too!
My biggest concern was 'cost' then also, I always like to buy from a 'real' person, and know I can go back to them if I have a problem, not just with the coop but who do I go to for advice on my chickens? Thats where we come in....

Listed below, is our express range of chicken housing, the same coops as we oursleves started off with, they provide a cost effective solution to begin in hen keeping.
Frame work is typically 30mm x 15mm and cladding 10mm.

Yes these coops are imported from China, dont be put off by that though, no they wont be as good quality as some of our more expensive ones, but they will do the job perfectly well. as we found out.
These coops would be better, kept on a hard surface, however, provided you treat the wood every year they should last a long time with little maintenance, we certainly had good usage out of ours.

Wooden Starter Coop This fantastic poultry house and run is ideal for the person who wants to start out on chicken keeping. As an introductory house this is great value for money for those who are just embarking on chicken keeping! This is exactly the model we started off with - great worked perfectly for us, we made sure we treated the wood every year and it served us well, with a little yearly maintenance. Be warned though chicken keeping is addictive - you'll need a bigger one soon!!
